Company History

Cox Kitchens & Baths, Inc. is the oldest family-owned and -managed kitchen and bath remodeler in the Greater Baltimore area.

Robert Cox, Founder of Cox Kitchens and Baths

Robert Cox, Founder of Cox Kitchens and Baths

Robert Cox, started this business in 1950 in his home on York Road in Govans, a stone’s throw from Loyola College. Together with his wife Ellen, Cox Kitchens and Baths quickly became a recognized remodeling leader in the Greater Baltimore Metropolitan Area.

Years later, Robert and Ellen Cox were joined by their daughter Susie and her husband Bob Gibbs. Together Bob and Susie continue to run the business in the same tradition of quality established so long ago by Bob Cox. They also have had the pleasure of being joined by their daughter Allison Gibbs and son Martin with a keen and trained eye on the impeccable craftsmanship their Grandfather insisted on.

In 1993, Cox moved to its current location at 6322 Falls Road. Our showroom reflects cutting-edge design and craftsmanship and Cox’s traditional eye on functional design advancements.
